My Christmas Bucket List
For today’s Blogmas post I thought I’d share with you my Christmas Bucket List. I love this time of year because there are so many fun and different activities to be done. You can get as fully festive as your heart desires. Creating a bucket list is a great way to keep track of all the activities you want to take part in, and a great way to reflect on the memories you made at the end of the season.
My Christmas 2019 Bucket List
Go see Christmas lights
There is something about Christmas lights that fills my heart with joy. I love passing by houses decorated with tons of lights and watching those YouTube videos of the lights being synchronized to music. This year I’d like to go to some kind of park or event that showcases lighting displays. Besides seeing the lights as I pass by, I’ve never actively sought out looking at lighting displays.
Make Christmas crafts
I love making DIY Christmas crafts! Although I will admit, I’m not very good at making them. I’ve got a few craft ideas that I have seen on Pinterest that I’ve been thinking of trying this year. Look out for a Blogmas post dedicated to Christmas crafts coming up soon.
Decorate my room
This goes hand in hand with making Christmas crafts, because a lot of my crafts are decorations of some sort. My decoration plans include hanging lights around my room, decorating a mini tree, deck my windows out with ornaments, and creating a countdown.
Bake healthy holiday treats
Christmas baking is so much fun! This year I’d like to find some healthier alternatives to have on hand when I’m wanting a Christmas cookie. I’ll actually be publishing a Healthy Eats Christmas edition that will feature some of my favorites. Check that out later in Blogmas.
Go through an advent Bible study
I’ve never done an Advent Bible study. I think it’s important to take time out of all the busyness of this time of year to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus. I want to be more intentional about my quiet time during this season and I think an Advent study is the perfect way to do that.
Watch Christmas Movies (classic and new)
I’ve held off, for the most part, on watching Christmas movies yet. Now I’m ready to get out my hot chocolate and cozy socks and start watching some of my favorite Freeform and Hallmark Christmas movies. Some of my favorite movies are The Santa Clause (all three), How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Elf, Mingle All The Way, Enchanted Christmas, and Finding Santa.
Give Back In Some Way
This time of the year is the perfect time to spread some joy to those in need. I haven’t made much of a priority in doing this in years past. I want that to change this year. Some examples of giving back that I am thinking of doing are participating in an angel tree, donating canned food to a food bank and donate toys to a children’s hospital. I also plan on donating my change to the Salvation Army when I pass a red kettle. If you are interested in giving back this year you can find more ideas here.
There is my holiday bucket list. Do you make a holiday bucket list? What activities do you put on it? Let me know in the comments below.
