Healthy Eats: Christmas Treats

December 10, 2019

Welcome to Healthy Eats! This series will show you the recipes that I love. This says a lot considering that I don’t like a lot of food. If you have a recipe you want me to try send it my way. I’m always looking for new meals to try. Check out more Healthy Eats here.

Healthy Christmas Treats

How are you enjoying 12 Days of Blogmas so far? I can’t believe we are nearing the end! Not to worry though, there are still lots of Christmas topics to go around. Plus we will be starting Plan Week in a few weeks! Today I’m sharing with you my favorite Christmas treats that I have tried so far this year. The best part is that they all have healthy swaps.

Christmas Treats I Love

Reindeer Print Cookies

These are my favorite cookies so far this year! It can be quite a messy process to get the cookies on a baking sheet, at least in my opinion, but the mess is worth it because they are amazing. I’ve made them twice already and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I found this recipe, aka my new favorite Holiday staple, in the Love Sweat Fitness Holiday Survival Guide.

Peppermint Bark

I love peppermint bark! This recipe is so simple and quick so I love it even more. All you need are candy canes and dark chocolate. Check out  Iowa Girl Eats for the full recipe.

What I’m Excited To Try

Gingerbread Cookies

This one is from Ambitious Kitchen I’m pretty iffy when it comes to gingerbread, which is why I think I haven’t made these gingerbread cookies yet. However, when I love it, I love it. I’ve liked basically every other recipe I’ve tried from Ambitious Kitchen, so I’m sure this one will be the same when I find time to bake them.

Peppermint Fudge Energy Bites

I haven’t gotten around to trying these yet, but they are next on my list to try. This recipe is from Running In A Skirt. They look so pretty and festive and I bet they taste amazing. I’ll let you know when I make them on my Instagram story. Clearly I have a peppermint problem, but at least there are some great benefits to it.

Now I want to know what your favorite Christmas treats are. What have you been baking recently? Let me know in the comments below. If you are doing any baking within the next few weeks I recommend trying these out. Remember to go to the original blogger’s website to get the full recipe on each of these Christmas treats.
