Inspiration for Tough Workouts

Whether you love to hate, or hate to love, working out. The fact is that it is essential for living a healthy lifestyle. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that we get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily for five days a week. (find out more about this recommendation here) If you follow this guideline, odds are you have been through your fair share of tough workouts.

Working out is something I try to do as soon as I wakeup lately. I have found that if I don’t do this the chances of me completing my workout drastically go down. Even worse it’s hard top get through my
morning routine fully. There are many times where I look at what I am scheduled to do for the day’s
workout and say “nope, not today” or my personal favorite “that looks like way too much and too hard.”

None of these phrases work in my favor. I try my best to fight them off but sometimes I do give in.
Then there is the struggle to finish the tough workouts. I’ll look at the clock and feel behind, or I’ll look
at what I have left to do and feel all the energy drain out. These scenarios make it easy for me to say, “you’ve done so much already, it’s okay to stop a little early.” Or “I’ll finish the rest of the workout
later.” (hint, later almost never comes)

Here is where Inspiration kicks in

With so many obstacles my mind tries to throw at me you may be wondering how I complete tough
workouts. Something I have started doing is blocking those negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones. Today I want to share with you some affirmations and phrases I use to get me through all the tough workouts. Feel free to print them out and hang them up to keep you inspired.
