Out With The Old & In With The New

September 30, 2020

It has been so long since I hit the Publish button on a Budding Joy blog post. To all my readers I apologize for the abrupt break, but I hope you understand my reasoning for doing this after this post is over, and by seeing the new look.

For all of you that are new to Budding Joy, I just wanted to take this time to say welcome! I’m glad you are here. I hope that through reading any of my posts about my journey, and lessons I’ve learned, you will feel less alone with whatever you are going through. Whether you are looking for someone who relates to your weight loss journey, mental health struggles, or maybe you are focused on creating the best possible version of yourself through personal development, you’ve got a friend here.

Out With The Old (What Happened During This Break)

While the look of Budding Joy has changed quite a bit, so have other things in my life throughout the past year. So much has happened so I wanted to catch you up. I’ll be going into further detail on some of these throughout the month of October.

Inner-Growth Happened In Massive Ways

I started going back to counseling in January. It took a few weeks but I started turning a corner and then everything changed. It wasn’t easy but, with a lot of inner reflection and work, I was able to overcome a depressive episode that had surrounded me for months.

I have shared that I have gone through counseling before, and the importance of it, but this time was different. I feel like my mind was truly ready to put in the work. I learned so much about mindset and myself within a few months (that is a whole other post that will come up soon).

I started Beachbody On Demand

Another exciting change happened in my workout routine. I joined Beachbody On Demand and completed my first program in years, LIIFT4. I believe this was the perfect first challenge for me. It was definitely challenging, but not so challenging that I couldn’t follow through with the program. I’m excited to explore more programs through Beachbody.

Would you like me to do a review of the next challenge I complete? Let me know in the comments.

I started freelancing with the launch of Kelly C Creates

My professional life also got a major update as I have started my freelance business. I was able to create a portfolio that I had pictured in my head for so long, and designed three service packages that I am really excited about!

Shameless plug, if you are a small business owner in need of help with branding, social media, or content creation I’d love to work with you. You can send me an email to request a virtual consultation.

In With The New (The Future Of Budding Joy)

A lot has gone into this rebrand. I didn’t want to change up just the look of Budding Joy. Here are some new features and a peak at what is coming up.

New Freebie Library

One of the main features I wanted to include in this update is a freebie library for my subscribers. This is a place where you get access to all past and current freebies all in one area. My subscribers also get exclusive freebies that will not be offered anywhere else on the blog.

The first exclusive VIP Buds freebie is an October Mood Tracker. Watch this video to find out more then sign up for my newsletter to get yours.

First Product Coming Your Way By The End Of 2020

More exciting news will be coming your way in the next few months. I will be launching my very first Budding Joy product. I can’t tell you what it is yet, I will say, that if you are planning on focusing on your health in 2021, you are going to want this product. I plan on using it myself.

12 Days of Blogmas & Plan Week Are Coming Up Fast

If you have been a reader for a while now, you have most likely heard of Blogmas and Plan Week. It will be back this year! I’m so excited to make these two series better than ever. If you have any ideas of content you’d like to see let me know in the comments.

Now that we are all caught up I want to know, what are you looking forward to the most?
