Celebrating A Big Milestone In My Weight Loss Journey

July 1, 2019

I’m celebrating a big milestone in my weight loss journey next month. I’ve officially been doing challenges from Love Sweat Fitness for a whole year! For those of you that aren’t familiar with what LSF means you can read this post from when I first started. I’ll also tell you a little more in this post as I tell you how big of an impact this has been in my weight loss journey.

LSF (or Love Sweat Fitness) is an amazing community of women from many different places. We may have different fitness goals, but we are united by the fact that we all want to be the best versions of ourselves. The creator of Love Sweat Fitness, Katie Dunlap, has created the LSF community mainly using Instagram. She posts weekly workout videos on YouTube and creates challenges throughout the year to keep us all motivated and inspired. She also just released an app earlier this year.

Through the challenges I have participated in over this year I have worked my way up to 200 squats in a day, have done 1,111 ab exercises in 21 days, have become more aware of hidden sugars in foods, and have tried recipes that I never would have before through her Hot Body Meal Plan and Guiltless Nutrition guides. I’ve also done the eight-week Hot Body Sweat Guide two and a half times. I’ve pushed myself physically in ways I never knew I could, all while finding an incredible support system I never expected.

Where my Love Sweat Fitness journey began

  • Realizing I Was Stronger Than I Knew

Before starting the LSF workouts and challenges I wasn’t pushing myself to my full potential. Even on my best days I was not challenging myself to reach new levels. When I created my workouts, I didn’t include any difficult moves because I just knew “I couldn’t do it.”

When I first started the LSF workouts I did the same thing for a little while. I would look for modifications on most of the moves and when there weren’t any I would sub in an easier move. I wouldn’t even try the full move. Little by little I started to try more and was shocked when I realized I actually could do it. It was hard yeah, but I could physically do the moves. Some of those moves I can now do are jump squats, double leg raises, hip lifts, and more!

  • The Team LSF Community

While I have support from family and friends on my journey to bettering myself, I still felt like something was missing. I had no idea, until I started the Summer Shape Up Challenge, that there was a whole community behind Love Sweat Fitness with Team LSF.  It feels so good being able to go on Instagram and have a feed of incredible people working to better themselves and inspire others along the way.

It doesn’t just stop with the Instagram feed. Katie also encourages us to have accountability groups and there is even a Facebook group. All of these ways of staying connected in the Team LSF community have been a huge blessing in my weight loss journey. I’m not perfect, I make mistakes and fall off from time to time. This community helps me get back up and push even harder than before. I’m so grateful for the encouragement I get daily through this community and I love encouraging others as well.

  • The Challenges

Another reason I love being a part of Love Sweat Fitness is the challenges I’ve participated in throughout the year. So far I have done the Summer Shape Up, LSF Boo-ty Challenge, Sleigh The Holiday, Refresh In 21, attempted the LSF Lots of Love Challenge, Spring Slimdown, and I just completed the Crop Top Crunch Time challenge.

You could say I’ve been busy this year, but I’ve loved every challenge I have done. Even though I didn’t do as great as I wanted to do on some of them, I learn something new in each of them. It doesn’t hurt that the prizes are amazing either. Not only does Katie give out incredible grand prizes, she also does giveaways throughout the challenge. I’ve won one of them just for leaving a review on her Sugar Detox Guide!

List of LSF challenges

As you can tell being an LSF girl has meant everything to me. I don’t know where I would be right now if I didn’t decide to try the Summer Shape Up Challenge last year. Katie if you are reading this thank you so much for everything you have done for me by creating Love Sweat Fitness! Everything from the challenges to the community has changed my life and has kept me going through the setbacks I’ve had.

If you’d like to try one of the LSF challenges, you can learn more here. Let me know in the comments if you’d like me to do a recap post when I complete the Summer Shape Up like I did last year.
